The Polish Language Course for the B1 Certificate is an intensive, 35-hour program created for individuals who need official confirmation of their language proficiency for professional purposes or when applying for Polish citizenship. The entire program is based on the Standards of Requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education dated February 14, 2025 (Poz. 217), which guarantees full compliance with the state exam papers.
During 35 hours of online study, we not only develop your language skills but, above all, familiarize you with the format of the state exam. We focus on practice that will allow you to exceed the required 50% threshold in each of the five exam modules.
Analysis of official exam papers and test fragments
Our course stands out for its practical approach to exam methodology. During classes, we analyze authentic materials that you will encounter on the day of the exam:
- Working with test fragments. We regularly solve tasks from previous years’ exam papers. This will help you learn typical traps and how to manage your time during the 190 minutes of the written part.
- Problem-solving strategies. We discuss specific aspects of the exam, such as techniques for catching keywords in the listening module or scoring rules in the writing module. Knowing what the commission awards points for is the key to success.
- Oral exam simulations. We use official task sets for the oral exam. We practice describing illustrations and recounting events in the format required by the State Commission.
Advanced grammatical correctness (B1 Level)
The program covers specific topics listed in the official List of Grammatical Issues for the threshold level:
- Declension of noun groups. We will teach you the correct declension of words ending in -um (e.g., stypendium – scholarship, liceum – high school) and specific groups, such as nationalities ending in -anin (e.g., Amerykanin – American). We will also practice difficult masculine-personal plural forms.
- Verb aspect system. You will master the creation of aspectual pairs, such as zrobić (to finish doing – perfective) and robić (to be doing – imperfective), and their use in the context of recounting events. This is essential for correctly describing processes and their results.
- Complex sentence syntax. You will practice building conditional sentences (e.g., gdyby…, to… – if…, then…) and comparative sentences (e.g., im…, tym… – the…, the…). This will allow you to create mature and convincing written statements.
Communication skills in life and work
- Professional environment. We will prepare you for conversations about qualifications, job positions, and employee rights. You will learn to write official inquiries and simple reports.
- Health and prevention. You will expand your knowledge of the healthcare system and medications. Speaking fluently with a specialist doctor will no longer be a challenge.
- Social issues and media. You will master the vocabulary to discuss current events and culture. You will be able to summarize a press article or a film and briefly comment on it.
Why choose our 35 hours of study?
- Teachers who speak your language. Explaining the complexities of conditional sentences or verb aspects in your native language is the most effective way to master the B1 level. It saves time and prevents mistakes.
- Focus on the certificate. The program is tailored to specific ministerial requirements. We do not teach “general Polish,” but prepare you directly to pass the state exam.
- Online platform and materials. You get access to original scripts, fragments of exam papers, and mock tests included in the course price.
