Not sure which level to begin with?

The descriptions below will help you place yourself. We confirm the final level during the free trial lesson.

I don’t speak a word of PolishYou start with the A1 course. The first lessons cover the alphabet, pronunciation and introductions — no prior knowledge assumed.
I understand single words but can’t build sentencesYour level is still A1. Passive recognition of words without the grammar to use them is a typical starting point.
I manage simple situations but get the endings wrongStart with the A2 course. That is exactly where declension gets put in order, systematically.
I need a certificate for residence or citizenshipYour target is the B1 course — the first level with a state certificate examination.
I want to study at a Polish universityYou need the B2 course. This level is also required when having a foreign diploma recognised in Poland.
I work in Polish but my writing sounds stiffThat is the job of the C1 course: registers and personal style rather than basic accuracy.

How lessons work

Lessons on interactive Miro boards

Whatever the level, lessons take place on virtual Miro boards. Every lesson has a board prepared in advance where you work together — not a shared screen showing a PDF.

  • Shared notes created live during the lesson
  • Access to all materials 24/7, including after the course
  • Real past exam papers at certificate levels
  • Full audio and video connection with your teacher

Lesson times

You learn when it suits you

There is no fixed hour you have to fit into. We fit around your week.

Mornings, evenings, weekendsWe teach from early morning until late evening, including Saturdays and Sundays.
Any time zoneWe teach learners across Europe and beyond — we agree a time that works wherever you are.
Breaks without penaltyA trip, overtime, illness — you reschedule a lesson instead of losing it. No fixed-term contracts.

Many of our learners combine the course with a full-time job, frequent business travel or shift work. That is why we agree times as we go rather than once for the whole course.

Polish courses for foreigners — what the whole path looks like

The Polish certification system sets out levels of proficiency in a ministerial regulation. From B1 upwards, each level ends with the option of sitting the state certificate examination. A1 and A2 have no separate examination for adults, but their material is tested in the B1 exam — they are therefore full stages of the same path, not a side track.

How long it takes from zero to a certificate

Someone starting from scratch and aiming for the B1 certificate goes through three courses: A1, A2 and B1 — around 240 teaching hours in total. At two lessons a week that is roughly two and a half years; at four lessons, a little over a year. For English speakers we allow more time than for speakers of Slavic languages, because vocabulary and declension take longer to settle without a Slavic starting point. If you already have some Polish, the path is correspondingly shorter.

How the levels differ

At A1 and A2 you build the foundations: pronunciation, declension and tenses. At B1 you prepare for the state examination for the first time; its certificate is required for a permanent residence card and for a citizenship application. At B2 grammatical accuracy becomes a separately assessed module and writing adds the argumentative essay. At C1 what counts is no longer accuracy but the deliberate choice of one of seven language registers, along with a personal style.

Why we teach online only

We have no physical classrooms and no plans to open any. The reason is practical: a large share of our learners work full time, often on shifts or with frequent travel, and a fixed hour in a specific building is a barrier they cannot clear. Online lessons on Miro boards let us agree times as we go and reschedule instead of losing a lesson, and the materials stay available around the clock, including after the course ends.

Who our courses are for

We teach learners from all over the world. Many are English speakers who have moved to Poland for work, are married to a Polish partner, or need the certificate for residence or citizenship purposes. You can also see our online Polish lessons for other formats.

FAQ

Common questions about our Polish courses

Are lessons held in person?

No. Polski360 is an online-only school — we do not run in-person classes in any city. All lessons take place over the internet, on interactive Miro boards with audio and video. That means you can learn from anywhere in Poland or abroad.

Which level should I start with?

With no prior knowledge you start at A1. If you speak in simple situations but get the endings wrong, A2 is right. If you need a certificate for residence or citizenship, B1 is your target. We make the final decision together during the free trial lesson — we check your level in practice rather than relying on self-assessment.

Do you offer group courses?

For English-speaking learners we offer one-to-one lessons and lessons in a pair. Group courses are not available in this segment — one-to-one lets us set a pace and focus built entirely around you, and the pair format is the more affordable option for couples or family members.

How much does a Polish course cost?

The hourly rate is the same at every level: 110 zł per hour one-to-one and 90 zł per hour per person in a pair. The total depends on the number of hours — the B1 course covers 60 hours (6600 zł one-to-one), the A1 course 90 hours (9900 zł). Payment is monthly, with no long-term contract.

Do I have to pay for the whole course upfront?

No. You pay month by month and can stop at any time — we refund the value of any unused lessons. Unlike schools that require payment for an entire semester in advance, you take no financial risk with us.

Does the teacher speak English?

Yes. In the early lessons your teacher can explain difficult points in English, so you are never left guessing. As the course progresses that becomes less necessary and lessons shift increasingly into Polish.

Can I move from one level to the next?

Yes, and most of our learners do. After finishing a course you move up to the next level, usually with the same teacher, so nobody has to diagnose your mistakes from scratch again. You do not need to declare in advance how far you want to go.

Are materials included in the price?

Yes, at every level and in every format. You buy no textbooks separately, and access to the materials on the Miro boards stays with you after the course ends.
